Does this sound familiar?

You may recognise some of these experiences:

• You find yourself worrying constantly and struggle to switch your mind off.

• You replay conversations or imagine worst-case scenarios.

• You avoid situations because they feel overwhelming.

• You feel physically tense, restless or on edge.

• Your anxiety is affecting your sleep, work or relationships.

• You know your worries are excessive, but can't seem to stop them.

Living with anxiety can be exhausting. The good news is that anxiety is highly treatable, and CBT is one of the most effective psychological therapies available.

How CBT Can Help

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps you understand the patterns that keep anxiety going.

Together we'll identify unhelpful cycles of thoughts, emotions and behaviours, then develop practical strategies to help you respond differently.

Rather than simply talking about problems, CBT focuses on helping you make meaningful changes between sessions through personalised techniques and gentle experiments.

Many clients notice improvements in:

  • excessive worrying

  • confidence

  • panic symptoms

  • avoidance

  • overthinking

  • sleep

  • everyday resilience

Why Work With Me?

I'm Rebecca Hitchcock, a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist providing online therapy throughout the UK.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who are carrying more than feels sustainable.

Outwardly they often appear to be coping well, but inwardly they're exhausted by constant overthinking, worry or the pressure of trying to hold everything together.

My aim isn't simply to reduce symptoms. Together we'll work towards helping you feel calmer, think more clearly and move forward in a way that reflects what matters most to you.

Therapy is always tailored to your individual circumstances and delivered in a calm, collaborative and compassionate way.

What Happens Next?

  2. We'll discuss what you're struggling with and whether CBT feels like a good fit.

  3. If you decide to continue, we'll arrange your first online therapy session.

There is no obligation following the consultation.

FAQ

Is online CBT effective?

Yes. Research shows that online CBT can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy for many anxiety difficulties.

What are your fees?

Individual CBT sessions last approximately 50 minutes.

  • Free 20-minute introductory consultation

  • £85 per 50-minute therapy session

The introductory consultation gives us an opportunity to discuss what you're looking for, answer any questions you may have, and decide together whether CBT feels like the right fit. There is no obligation to continue.

Can I use my private health insurance?

Yes. I am registered with AXA Health, Aviva and WPA.

If you have private health insurance, your therapy sessions may be fully or partially funded, depending on your policy.

Before booking, please contact your insurer to:

  • confirm your level of cover

  • check whether pre-authorisation or a GP referral is required

  • obtain any authorisation number needed

If you're unsure, I'm happy to answer any questions before your first appointment.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. Private therapy does not usually require a GP referral, although some insurance providers may require one.

Do you work across the UK?

Yes. Sessions are delivered online, allowing me to work with clients throughout the UK.

Are you accredited?

Yes. I am fully accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies from person to person and depends on your goals and the difficulties you're experiencing.

During our initial sessions we'll develop a shared understanding of what is maintaining your anxiety and agree a treatment plan together. Some people benefit from a relatively brief course of CBT, while others choose to continue for longer to consolidate change.

I've never had online therapy before. Does it work?

Many people are surprised by how natural online therapy feels. Sessions take place via a secure video platform from the comfort of your own home, and research shows that online CBT can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy for many anxiety difficulties.

All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection.

Ready to Take the First Step?

Anxiety can convince us that nothing will change, but many people find that understanding how anxiety works is the beginning of meaningful change.

If you're looking for practical, evidence-based support delivered in a calm and compassionate way, I'd be delighted to speak with you.
